Arbor Forest Products unveils new equine bedding

Independent timber importer and processor, Arbor Forest Products, has launched Wood & Slumber, a new premium brand of equine bedding.

Produced at the company’s advanced sawmill in New Holland, Lincolnshire, the bedding is made from sustainably sourced pine and spruce—all sterile, kiln-dried and a by-product of Arbor’s timber operations. The process removes excess moisture to prevent mould and mildew, while enhancing absorbency and producing lighter, more consistent shavings for easier handling.

Each bale is processed on-site using high-performance sieving and dust extraction systems to ensure a clean, low-dust product that supports good respiratory health in stabled horses and ponies.

As part of the launch, Arbor has invested over £2 million in new baling and packing technology, strengthening its commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.
