Baileys relaunches equine weight loss handbook
Baileys has relaunched its Equine Weight Loss Handbook, now an extensive 26-page guide offering comprehensive advice and guidance for owners of good-doers and equines needing to lose weight. This A4 booklet covers assessing body condition and weight, and provides detailed instructions on how to reduce calories across the entire ration while maintaining healthy fibre levels.
Marketing Manager, Jane Buchan, commented, “The feedback on our previous workbook version, first printed in 2018, was so positive, yet we had so much more information we wanted to give horse owners that it took a while to redraft. It’s something that retailers should find really useful when advising customers and will feature heavily in our summer campaigns for Lo-Cal Balancer and Natural Meadow Cobs.”
Produced in association with World Horse Welfare, whom Baileys have supported with feed and nutritional support since 2020, the handbook aligns with both organisations’ dedication to educating horse owners. They aim to help owners recognise when their horse is overweight and provide straightforward advice to help return the horse to a healthier body condition.
The handbooks are available free from your Baileys Area Sales Manager and Baileys’ Head Office. Customers can also order a copy via Baileys’ website and are encouraged to join a supportive Equine Weight Loss group on Facebook to access regular nutritional advice and share their horses’ progress in a supportive environment.
