BEVA Congress puts wellbeing at the forefront
BEVA Congress 2025 is set to combine world-class CPD with a strong emphasis on wellbeing, accessibility and community for equine vets.
“Mental health and wellbeing are lynchpins to help achieve a good work life balance as a busy equine vet,” said Jocelyn Thompson, Partnership and Events Manager at BEVA. “This year at BEVA Congress we are offering more ‘down time’ and get-together opportunities than ever.”
In partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim, BEVA is launching a Mindfulness Lounge alongside a series of Wellness Sessions, giving delegates the chance to pause, recharge and reconnect.
Wellbeing highlights include:
- Mindfulness Lounge – Executive Room 8, ICC
- Morning and evening yoga sessions (booking required)
- Guided meditation at lunchtime (drop-in)
- Massage Station – BEVA Trust Stand (D44)
- RunBEVA – early morning run, jog or walk
Dr Clare Turnbull, Equine Business Head at Boehringer Ingelheim, said: “At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are proud to support the wellbeing of horses and the people who care for them. Life as an equine vet is incredibly rewarding, but also very demanding, and so we are delighted to be sponsoring the Mindfulness Lounge at BEVA Congress this year.”
Congress will also host a range of social activities, including the Welcome Reception (ticketed event), BOVA Popworld Night and the Annual Dinner (ticketed event), alongside events for students such as the VetPartners social.
Initiatives including opportunities to win free accommodation and tickets are helping to make the event more accessible for the next generation.
The CPD programme will cover all aspects of equine medicine, surgery and practice, with antimicrobial stewardship forming a central theme.
