Bonanza of special offers from BEVA
BEVA Congress is offering students and recent graduates a package of competitions, bursaries and social events, designed to help the next generation of equine vets make the most of this year’s event, taking place at the ICC Birmingham from 9–12 September.
Supported by Altano and VetPartners, the initiatives are designed to make the event more accessible to those starting their equine veterinary careers.
BEVA president Imogen Burrows said: “Nothing should stand in the way of attending Congress, but we know costs can quickly add up for students, that’s why we’ve teamed up with Altano to give 10 lucky student vets a free night. Even better, winners will be offered a twin room on Thursday 10 September, so that they can bring a friend along too!”
Altano is also funding five bursaries for BEVA new graduate members who qualified within the past four years, intended to help early-career equine vets access high-quality continuing professional development while building professional networks and exploring the latest developments in equine veterinary medicine. Each provides:
- £250 towards travel and accommodation
- £100 towards Congress registration
Meanwhile, VetPartners will host a free networking evening for students and recent graduates at O’Neill’s, Broad Street, on Thursday during Congress. Roger Dixon, Business Development Director at VetPartners, said: “The relationships you build early in your career can be just as valuable as the clinical knowledge you gain. We’re delighted to support students and recent graduates by creating an opportunity to meet peers, build professional networks and enjoy the unique sense of community that makes BEVA Congress such a special event.”
