British Horse Feeds and The Golden Paste Company welcome new area sales representative

British Horse Feeds (BHF) and The Golden Paste Company (GPCo) are pleased to announce the appointment of Jess Blackford as the new Area Sales Representative for the South West. These sister brands, which operate under the renowned I’Anson Brothers company, a fifth-generation family-owned business, are set to benefit from Jess’s extensive experience and passion for equine health and nutrition.

Jess Blackford brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role, having graduated from Bristol University with a BSc Hons degree in Equine Sport Science. She previously worked for nine years as an Equine Territory Manager at Protexin, where she honed her skills in equine gut health and nutrition. Her comprehensive equestrian background, combined with her academic and professional experience, makes her a valuable addition to the BHF and GPCo teams.

In her role, Jess will focus on building relationships with trade customers and enhancing educational outreach within the equestrian community. Her hands-on knowledge of the industry and her dedication to equine health are expected to significantly benefit both brands.

Branca Gebbie, Business and Trade Manager, expressed enthusiasm about Jess joining the team: “We are thrilled to welcome Jess to the I’Anson family. Her expertise and passion for equine health make her a valuable addition to our team. We are confident that Jess will contribute significantly to our ongoing commitment to quality and innovation. We look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly have on our team and our customers.”

Jess also shared her excitement about the new role: “I’m very excited for my next adventure with BHF and GPCo having used their products for many years. I have owned and ridden horses for as long as I can remember—they are my passion and my hobby, and I love that I get to combine this into my work. Apart from riding horses, I have a very sweet tooth which means I have to try and stay fit. I have just completed my third London Marathon and I’m sure will be doing a fourth in the future.”

I’Anson Brothers has established a reputation for producing high-quality animal and equine feed products. As one of the UK’s leading suppliers of farm feeds, micronized ingredients, and horse feeds, with a global customer base spanning over 40 countries, the company remains committed to quality and innovation. Jess Blackford’s appointment underscores this commitment and highlights the company’s dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the equine community.
