First two candidates achieve City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Bridle Fitting
The Society of Master Saddlers has announced that Charlotte Cheeseman and Paige Archibald are the first candidates to complete its newly redeveloped City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Bridle Fitting, including measuring and bitting.
The qualification combines online learning modules with practical training days and continual assessment, giving candidates both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
After passing the final assessment, graduates receive the title of Society of Master Saddlers’ Registered Qualified Bridle Fitter (SMS RQBF).
The course is aimed at those seeking a professional career in bridle and bit fitting and takes around 18 months to complete.
“This milestone represents an exciting moment for the Society as we celebrate the first successful candidates to complete the redeveloped course,” said Catherine Baker, Bridle Fitting Course Leader.
“The Society of Master Saddlers has redesigned its Bridle Fitting qualification course, maintaining a strong focus on equine welfare.
