Henry Bell & Co marks 200 years with celebratory dinner

Not many companies reach a 200th anniversary, but Henry Bell & Co has done just that—and celebrated the milestone in style.

The maker of EquiGlo Horse Feeds welcomed guests from across the animal and bird feeds sector to a special dinner and drinks reception held at Belton Woods Hotel in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Stockists and suppliers from around the country joined Managing Director Thomas Lee and Finance Director Carol Foster for an evening of good food, live saxophone music from Ben Martin and close-up magic by Rich Reynolds.

Each attendee received a commemorative Dartington Crystal tumbler, etched specially for the occasion.

“What a remarkable moment this anniversary is,” said Thomas. “Henry Bell started out as a flour miller in 1825 and today we supply wild bird and small animal feeds, processed cereals, pulses and horse feeds across the UK, Europe and beyond.

“We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for the trust and support of our customers and suppliers, and our fantastic team of employees who make it all possible. Our 200th anniversary is an important way to acknowledge what we have and what we have become, and to recognise that we are a fourth-generation family business built on shared purpose.”

Henry Bell & Co continues to grow its portfolio while maintaining its family-owned values, reflecting two centuries of innovation, reliability and long-standing partnerships across the sector.
