National Equine Forum 2025 to Address Key Industry Challenges and Opportunities
The 33rd National Equine Forum (NEF25) is set to tackle crucial issues facing the equestrian sector when it convenes at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in London on March 6, 2025.
The comprehensive programme will bring together leading industry figures, veterinary professionals and charity representatives to address pressing matters affecting equestrianism’s future. The event will be accessible via livestream for those unable to attend in person.
NEF Chairman Tim Brigstocke highlighted the significance of this year’s agenda: “In this year’s programme we have picked some of the most pertinent areas presenting opportunities or threats to the sector,” Tim explains. “We will be addressing these in our inimitable, balanced style, for which NEF has become renowned.”
Key sessions include “The Equine Industry in a Changing World”, featuring a Parliamentary perspective on the sector’s status, updates from the British Horse Council, and a review of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The programme will also cover critical equine health updates, focusing on serious disease threats currently facing UK horses.
The forum will explore equine feed safety and nutrition, with particular emphasis on forage’s essential role and guidance on finding reliable nutrition advice. A dedicated session on Equine Assisted Services will examine horses’ partnership roles, from Paralympic participation to their impact on learning and personal development.
The day’s proceedings will feature the Memorial Lecture, exploring collaborative charity efforts addressing Britain’s emerging equine welfare challenges. The prestigious Sir Colin Spedding Award winner will also be announced during the event.
Early bird tickets for the in-person event are available at £90 (regular price £110) until January 8, 2025, with livestream tickets to be released in January. Each main session will conclude with Q&A opportunities, enabling both in-person and virtual attendees to participate in discussions.
