SPILLERS reports strong uptake for retailer nutrition training
The SPILLERS brand has reported strong early take-up of its free online equine nutrition training hub, which was created to give feed retailers practical, evidence-based knowledge and professional development.
Since launching in January, 28 participants have fully completed the SPILLERS training module and received a Certificate of Completion to display in-store. A total of 274 modules have been completed across the platform. Of these, 172 were finished by participants collecting AMTRA points, earning 344 Continuing Professional Development points, while a further 102 were completed by people not enrolled for AMTRA accreditation.
The programme runs to five modules covering market insights, prohibited substances (NOPS), nutrients, clinical conditions and feed categories, each with quizzes to test knowledge. AMTRA members can gain up to 12 CPD points by completing the full clinical conditions module.
Vanessa Allen, nutrition content manager at Mars Horsecare, said the hub gives retailers the knowledge and tools to advise customers with greater confidence and credibility, and that it is fully accessible because there is no cost involved.
