BEVA Congress 2026 breaks attendance records
The British Equine Veterinary Association’s (BEVA) three-day Congress in September recorded its highest overall attendance since figures were first collected in 2021, with 3,591 attendee days across delegates, exhibitors, speakers and event staff.
A total of 939 individual veterinary surgeons attended, up 10.2% on the previous year and the highest figure in at least ten years. They were joined by 78 veterinary nurses, with delegates travelling from at least 42 countries.

The audience spanned every stage of the profession: 10% of attendees were students, 14% new graduate veterinary surgeons up to three years qualified, 19% up to ten years qualified and 58% more than ten years qualified.
BEVA Congress 2026 in numbers
- 3,591 attendee days, the highest since 2021
- 939 veterinary surgeons, up 10.2%
- 78 veterinary nurses
- Delegates from at least 42 countries
- 106 exhibition stands across 964m²

Biggest exhibition since the pandemic
The exhibition also grew, with 106 stands booked across 964m², the highest number since the pandemic. For suppliers to the equine veterinary sector, the event offers direct access to a specialist audience of practitioners, and exhibitors highlighted the networking opportunities and organisational support.
Recognised as the largest equine veterinary conference in Europe, BEVA Congress offers more than 90 hours of CPD in a programme designed by practising equine veterinary surgeons and nurses around real clinical challenges. Delegates particularly praised the way welfare and behaviour were built into the clinical sessions this year.
BEVA President Kate Blakeman says the figures show how important Congress is as a meeting point for the equine veterinary community and the businesses that support it.
They confirm that there is still a strong demand for an event that brings together clinicians, researchers, students and commercial partners, while providing a forum for discussion on the clinical, professional and welfare challenges facing the equine sector.
